About the LCA

ABOUT THE LCA

The Lighting Controls Academy (LCA) is a NEMA coalition dedicated to educating the public about lighting controls technology, applications, and benefits.

The Lighting Controls Academy (previously the Lighting Controls Association) is a coalition of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). Since 2000, we have educated the professional building design, construction, and management communities about lighting control technology, applications, and benefits.

LCA members include noted leaders in the manufacture of advanced lighting control solutions.

Our website, newsletter lightingCONTROL, and social media deliver industry news, new products, feature articles, award-winning projects, and other information vital to becoming a lighting controls expert.

Our video learning page at this website and courses at NEMA Academy provide detailed education about all aspects of lighting controls along with credits to support certification pathways.

Our partnerships with industry organizations have shared expertise across numerous publications and education events.

The LCA is headquartered at the NEMA headquarters in Rosslyn, VA and is sponsored by the National Lighting Bureau.
