Education Express to Become NEMA Academy

03/14/2025 by Lighting Controls Association Leave a Comment

Big news! The Lighting Controls Association’s Education Express is moving to NEMA’s new learning platform: NEMA Academy.

This transition will provide an improved user experience and new opportunities for professional development, with the same Education Express courses combined with a growing curriculum of courses in lighting and other electrical fields.

What This Means for You

If you are one of our tens of thousands of Education Express students, your account will automatically transition to the new NEMA Academy platform, which will officially launch on May 1, 2025.

Note that Education Express will go offline starting April 15, 2025 for the transition. Education Express will not available from April 16 until the launch of NEMA Academy on May 1.

If you are a registered Education Express student, in the coming weeks, you will receive an email from LearnUpon, our new education platform, with instructions on how to set up your new NEMA Academy account, including your username and a temporary password.

Important: While all Education Express user accounts will be transferred to NEMA Academy, only the last three years of Education Express academic records (2022 – present) will be transferred to NEMA Academy. If you have certificates or course records older than three years, or prior to 2022, you must download them before April 15, 2025.

Next Steps

1. Watch for an email from LearnUpon with your login details.
2. Download any course completion certificates older than three years by April 15, 2025. If any newer certificates are critical, you may wish to download them as well.
3. Access NEMA Academy starting May 1, 2025, to continue your learning journey.

How to Download Your Records

To retain your course-completion certificates older than 2022, log in to Education Express, navigate to the Courses page, select the certificates you want, and download them to your device.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact help.lightingcontrols@gmail.com.

We appreciate your participation in Education Express and look forward to welcoming you to NEMA Academy on May 1, 2025! More information will be available in April, as we offer a major feature article describing the new NEMA Academy.
