Please can you advise. I bought a Led dimmer wall socket to go with led dimmer bulbs. However, it doesn’t dim to dark or off altogether.
On contacting the seller I was told this was as low as it went to stop the risk of fire !
My Son who is an engineer said this is not so as the socket as vairiable resisters generating heat, and socket covers get warm to get rid of excess power. Also these factors have to be covered to comply with current Electrical Standards!
When I bought the socket I understand it would dim dark enough for me when watching Films .
I would really appreciate your advice on this matter, also state what the current 2022 BSI Standard for Electric wiring etc is .
