Watt Stopper/Legrand’s New 2000W Dimmer Makes Home Lighting Control Easy and Convenient

12/18/2006 by Lighting Controls Association Leave a Comment

Watt Stopper/Legrand’s new 2000 Watt Dimmer offers high capacity dimming for homes using Miro Wireless lighting control systems.

Compatible with most dimmable loads, this new dimmer operates at capacities up to 2000 Watts, handling large lighting loads such as chandeliers, tiers of recessed lighting or outdoor fixtures. Previously, for large loads, customers had to separate circuits into different branches and control each branch separately.

The 2000 Watt Dimmer can be controlled by Miro multilocation controllers, room or house level scene controllers or other wireless Miro dimmers. This allows the homeowner to remotely recall a scene or control the lights from anywhere within the Miro network, while the dimmer remains hidden from view inside an electrical closet or up in the plenum.

Miro is a line of wireless RF lighting control products that bring simple, whole-house lighting control to homes – affordably. Powered by fast and reliable 900MHz wireless communication technology, Miro offers unprecedented control capabilities, without control wiring, central processor or power line carrier, or elaborate programming software and tools. In addition to one-touch whole house ON/OFF, Miro features whole house and room scene control, a “panic” function, “vacation” mode, and coordinated control of lamps and small appliances. Completely scalable, Miro installs easily using standard wallboxes and existing electrical wiring. It is available in a modern, elegant architectural style or in a decorator style.
