U.S. Department Of Energy Wins IES Lighting Control Innovation Award Of Merit
The Lighting Control Innovation Award was created in 2011 as part of the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Illumination Awards program, which recognizes professionalism, ingenuity and originality in lighting design. LCA is proud to sponsor the Lighting Control Innovation Award, which recognizes projects that exemplify the effective use of lighting controls in nonresidential applications. In this award’s first year, eight projects were recognized with an Award of Merit, with one further recognized with a Special Citation Award. This month, we will explore the role that energy-saving lighting controls play in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Research Support Facility at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a net-zero-energy office building. Seven Projects To Be Recognized With IES Illumination Awards – Control Innovation Award
The Lighting Controls Association (LCA) recently announced that it entered into a five-year agreement with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) to sponsor a new Control Innovation Award as part of the IES’s prestigious Illumination Awards. Twenty projects were submitted in the Award’s first year. IES intends to make a formal announcement in August. However, we are pleased to be able to announce that seven projects were recognized with an IES Illumination Award of Merit, and one of these is being recognized with a higher award. Stay tuned, as further announcements will follow later in the summer.
