Advance proudly announces that it has expanded its popular family of Optanium® high-efficiency electronic ballasts to include a new electronic ballast with Step-Dim capability for the operation of two 28 Watt T5 fluorescent lamps.
Lutron Electronics has designed the industry’s most adaptable manual shade as a part of the Sivoia family of shading solutions. The Sivoia family of products now creates a visually seamless solution for mixed-use spaces that require both manual and electronic shades. Ideal for both commercial and residential applications, the new Sivoia Manual Shades share hardware with Sivoia QED roller 64™ for easy conversion from manual to electronic control, maintaining the system’s smooth and quiet operation. Converting the Sivoia Manual Shade to a Sivoia QED™ electronic shade is as easy as pulling off the manual clutch and inserting a Sivoia QED roller 64 drive.
Watt Stopper/Legrand has developed a line of card key switches that give hospitality facilities a simple way to save energy and comply with the current IECC and ASHRAE/IESNA codes which require that hotel guestrooms have a master switch at the entrance of every room. These card key switches are ideal for hotels, motels, boardinghouses and other similar buildings.
Watt Stopper/Legrand has created a unique, new daylighting controller in response to growing demands by building owners and managers who want practical, cost effective solutions to save energy and meet code requirements. The new LS-101 is a single zone controller designed to switch lights OFF and ON when light levels detected by the unit’s internal light sensor fall above or below factory- or user-defined setpoints. The LS-101 is the only stand-alone daylighting control device to feature a digital display making adjustment fast, easy and accurate.
Watt Stopper/Legrand has introduced a new family of wall switch occupancy sensors appropriate for more applications than ever before. Multiple detection technologies allow specifiers to easily tailor switch selection to ensure optimal performance in each location. The sensors are an economical wall switch replacement and can even be used in some difficult-to-sense spaces that are ideally suited to ceiling sensors, but, because of inaccessibility, cannot be fitted with those devices.
Schneider Electric announces its Square D® Clipsal® lighting control line has expanded to include new Decorator versions of its popular Neo™ and Saturn™ keypads and wall plates. The new keypads provide the same features as a standard Square D Clipsal keypad, but in a format designed to conserve wall space and fit with existing wall boxes — ideal for retrofit installations. Up to four Decorator keypads can be mounted side by side, allowing 16 buttons in the space of a standard four-gang plate.
Schneider Electric announced that its Square D® Clipsal® line of lighting control products is being incorporated into a major energy retrofit project at Fay Herron Elementary School in North Las Vegas, Nev. The school, part of the Clark County School District, is the subject of a project that includes HVAC replacement and installation of new insulated walls and dropped ceilings, in addition to lighting control. Eight of the 12 buildings on the Fay Herron Elementary School campus have been completed; the entire project should conclude in summer 2007.
Leviton’s industry-leading OPB15 Power Base Adaptor conveniently converts any Leviton low-voltage ceiling-mount occupancy sensor into a self-contained line-voltage unit with a 15 Amp, 120/277V load capacity. The Power Base is ideally suited to occupancy sensor installations in existing facilities where hard concrete or wooden ceilings limit access to wiring and in new construction where only line-voltage circuitry is available. By adapting low-voltage ceiling-mount occupancy sensors so that they are capable of operating on line-voltage electrical systems, the device enables lighting energy conservation in application environments where installation is complex, costly and time-consuming.
Square D® Clipsal® DLT keypads, with industry-first Dynamic Labeling Technology, provide convenient energy code compliant control. Individual buttons can be programmed to switch lights on/off, dim lights, or control an entire scene. The high resolution display provides users with an intuitive interface so there is never any second guessing about what button controls what lights.
The Square D® Clipsal® Monochrome Touch Screen from Schneider Electric is designed to provide versatile lighting control via a simple, compact user interface for commercial applications like office buildings or retail outlets. In addition to being easy to install, customize and use, the Monochrome Touch Screen offers numerous configurations, making it an attractive alternative to multiple single-operation switches, on/off toggles, dimmers and timers that can clutter walls.
