Leviton’s OSFHU High-Bay Occupancy Sensor has been enhanced to provide real-time occupancy detection and light switching capabilities for a wider range of environments with the addition of three interchangeable lenses that are ideal for high-bay, low-bay, and aisle-way applications. Designed for high-mounted areas, the OSFHU self-contained sensor conveniently installs to industrial fluorescent luminaires or electrical junction boxes to automatically switch fixtures ON when occupancy is detected and OFF when the room is no longer occupied.
Leviton has announced the purchase of a 29.1% minority interest in its stock that has been held by Thomas & Betts Corporation since 1994, for a cash tender of approximately $300 million. With great sadness Leviton Manufacturing Company announces the passing of its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Harold Leviton, age 90. Leviton passed away Saturday afternoon September 8, 2007 with his family at his bedside. He is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Shirley, daughters, Patricia, Adrienne, and Elizabeth, son-in-laws, Donald J. Hendler, Steven B. Sokolow and Andrew Kriegman, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leviton’s industry-leading OPB15 Power Base Adaptor conveniently converts any Leviton low-voltage ceiling-mount occupancy sensor into a self-contained line-voltage unit with a 15 Amp, 120/277V load capacity. The Power Base is ideally suited to occupancy sensor installations in existing facilities where hard concrete or wooden ceilings limit access to wiring and in new construction where only line-voltage circuitry is available. The LED nightlight uses a photocell to automatically illuminate a room or area based on the ambient light level present. This provides a reassuring nightlight in a darkened room or area.
