WattStopper Contribution Helps Secure New U.C. Davis Arthur H. Rosenfeld Chair in Energy Efficiency
WattStopper’s $10,000 contribution has helped the University of California at Davis achieve the financial goal required to endow the new Arthur H. Rosenfeld Chair in Energy Efficiency. The endowment will be used to recognize and support an exceptional member of the energy efficiency faculty at UC Davis. The chair holder will promote the Energy Efficiency Center’s mission to accelerate the commercialization of energy-efficiency technologies, teach future leaders in energy efficiency, and conduct critical policy-supporting research.

Electrical Contractor Publishes Feature Story on Lighting Controls
Electrical Contractor Magazine recently published a major story on lighting controls featuring LCA members Leviton, Lutron, OSRAM SYLVANIA and WattStopper, in addition to comments from Craig DiLouie representing the Lighting Controls Association. The article, titled “Take Control,” outlines control strategies that building owners and managers can deploy now to reduce energy costs and increase flexibility in existing building lighting systems.
Lighting Controls Association Announces Sponsorship of New IES Design Award
The Lighting Controls Association is proud to announce that it has entered into a five-year agreement with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) to sponsor a new Control Innovation Award as part of the IES’s prestigious Illumination Awards. Online submissions for the 2011 Illumination Awards program are being accepted January 18 through February 11, 2011.
