Schneider Electric announces its Square D® Clipsal® lighting control line has expanded to include new Decorator versions of its popular Neo™ and Saturn™ keypads and wall plates. The new keypads provide the same features as a standard Square D Clipsal keypad, but in a format designed to conserve wall space and fit with existing wall boxes — ideal for retrofit installations. Up to four Decorator keypads can be mounted side by side, allowing 16 buttons in the space of a standard four-gang plate.
Schneider Electric announced that its Square D® Clipsal® line of lighting control products is being incorporated into a major energy retrofit project at Fay Herron Elementary School in North Las Vegas, Nev. The school, part of the Clark County School District, is the subject of a project that includes HVAC replacement and installation of new insulated walls and dropped ceilings, in addition to lighting control. Eight of the 12 buildings on the Fay Herron Elementary School campus have been completed; the entire project should conclude in summer 2007.
Leviton’s industry-leading OPB15 Power Base Adaptor conveniently converts any Leviton low-voltage ceiling-mount occupancy sensor into a self-contained line-voltage unit with a 15 Amp, 120/277V load capacity. The Power Base is ideally suited to occupancy sensor installations in existing facilities where hard concrete or wooden ceilings limit access to wiring and in new construction where only line-voltage circuitry is available. By adapting low-voltage ceiling-mount occupancy sensors so that they are capable of operating on line-voltage electrical systems, the device enables lighting energy conservation in application environments where installation is complex, costly and time-consuming.
