Leviton, in partnership with Autani Insights, was recently named a winner of phase two of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Lighting Prize (L-Prize®) competition in the connected systems track category.
Leviton and Autani worked together to submit a prototype to meet the rigorous L-Prize requirements and exceed the capabilities of currently available products in the connected systems category, with Autani providing the software, Insights 4REAL, and Leviton providing the hardware with its Intellect-enabled Visioneering fixtures for the prototype.
The prototype, Autani Insights4REAL, with Leviton sensing delivers a game-changing system with open standard interoperability, exceptional integration and output options, practicality and affordable value.
The L-Prize is a $12 million lighting competition designed to spur ground-breaking innovation for next-generation lighting in commercial buildings. As winners of Phase 2, Leviton and Autani’s prototype will share a prize pool of $2 million amongst winners and will move onto the third and final phase of the competition which includes manufacturing and installation.
