The latest in Wattstopper’s Digital Lighting Management (DLM) solution, the Plenum-rated Wireless Room Controller (LMRC-611MCC-A) is designed to meet Chicago plenum requirements. The LMRC is engineered to neatly fit within an approved junction box for Chicago or meet local codes where all high- and low-voltage wiring must be inside a rigid electrical conduit.
The City of Chicago Electrical Code requires that any fixture installed in an air-handling plenum space be properly sealed to enclose the junction box or wireway in its entirety to prevent sparking, fire, or other hazardous situations. The redesigned Wireless Room Controller can now be installed in junction boxes that meet City of Chicago Environmental Air requirements. To ensure quality, it features an external antenna that provides signal strength and reliable communication while the controller is installed inside the plenum-approved box. Setup and commissioning are easy through the DLM Configuration App or LMCS lighting management software.
The LMRC-611MCC-A room controller is wired to a single 120- or 277-volt circuit. It communicates via a self-formed wireless IPv6 mesh network to sensors and switches in the DLM local network. Once installed, it forms a wireless mesh network by automatically connecting to the edge DLM devices in the room (wireless switches and sensors), drastically reducing installation time and eliminating wiring errors.
Additional features include:
- Built-in IPv6 Mesh and Bluetooth® low energy technology antenna provides robust signal strength and reliable communication
- Quick and easy KO mounting and wireless communication to other wireless room devices
- Contact closure for easy integration with HVAC or other VAV systems
