Universal Lighting Technologies Recognized as Sapphire Awards 2020 Finalist

Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc. was recently recognized as a Sapphire Awards 2020 finalist for excellence of design and innovation in the LED drivers product category. The 2020 Sapphire Awards winners were announced during a reception aboard the USS Midway on Feb. 12, 2020 – during the week of Strategies in Light in San Diego.

Entries were judged based on product quality and their role in pushing the industry to new heights by seeking top levels of engineering and design ingenuity. The award acknowledges products that push the boundaries by providing illumination that serves and delivers improved quality for users.

As customization and controllability become standard within the industry, Universal aimed to create a driver designed to allow custom configuration of lumen levels and dimming curves to meet the needs of OEM customers through wireless programmable features including output current, dimming level, dimming cures and dimming control voltage.

Universal’s PWX Series drivers can be programmed to quickly and easily control the device using EVERset™ RFID programming. Designed with maximum energy savings in mind, the drivers feature a < 0.5W of stand-by power when set to the dim-to-off state. As one of the most efficient families of drivers in the lighting industry, the EVERLINE® PWX drivers are a perfect fit for indoor lighting applications.
