McWong International was shortlisted as a finalist for the 2018 Sapphire Awards competition. The company’s Smart Sensor Control Platform earned this recognition in the Smart and Connected SSL Enabling Technologies category.
The solution, the PacWave by McWong Wireless Dimming Sensor & Controls Platform, encompasses a range of occupancy and motion sensors, dimming power packs, fixture controllers, and mobile apps (Android and iOS) for remote configuration of sensor and dimming settings. It combines sensor-based detection with Bluetooth-ready control capabilities for a cost-effective and future-proof approach to indoor/outdoor lighting and beyond. With built-in Bluetooth beacon capability, the platform supports technology applications including indoor positioning and navigation, RTLS (real-time locating systems), and asset tracking.
The annual LEDs Magazine Sapphire Awards program, currently in its fourth year, focuses on the LED-based solid-state lighting (SSL) market from an enabling-technology and elegance-of-design perspective to recognize true technology stars. The judging process, handled by independent industry experts, culminates in an Awards Gala held at Strategies in Light and The LED Show in February 2018.
