WattStopper recently announced that the company has become a key sponsor of the newly formed Rocky Mountain Lighting Academy (RMLA). The RMLA, an extension of the highly regarded lighting education program at the University of Colorado (CU), will provide continuing education to professionals working in the lighting industry beginning in the summer of 2013.
The inaugural RMLA program is an intensive four-day course scheduled for June 18-21, 2013, on the CU-Boulder campus. The curriculum, taught by renowned educational and lighting professionals, will provide a solid theoretical background in lighting. Course learning goals are informed by recent developments in science, technology, energy conservation, and public expectations. Students will enjoy a mix of lecture, demonstration, laboratory work, computer exercises, and group discussion and problem solving.
WattStopper is a Silver Partner, which includes a three-year commitment to funding the new program.
