Effective November 1, 2012, Alfred Felder will become the new Chief Executive Officer of Tridonic. He succeeds Walter Ziegler, who left the company in January.
Alfred Felder has a comprehensive knowledge of the field of optosemiconductors and has acquired decades of management experience with prominent players in the electronics industry. In his career to date he has worked for several years in each of Japan, the US and China. Since 2003, he has filled various management roles in the areas of OLED and LED technology with Osram, where as Senior Vice President Sales he was lastly responsible for Osram’s worldwide general lighting sales activities.
Alfred Felder was born and raised in the South Tyrol, gained his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Vienna and launched his career in 1990 as project manager in the R&D department at Siemens. He stayed with the company until 2003, holding a range of specialist and management functions, not least at Siemens central R&D department in Germany, with Infineon in Japan and in the field of ceramic materials and components in Germany. In September 2003 Alfred Felder moved to join Osram within the Siemens Group.
