Dion HylandDion Hyland has joined Encelium Technologies of Teaneck, N.J., as director of sales for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. A resident of the Sacramento area, Hyland is a 24-year electrical industry veteran who possesses extensive professional sales experience working with specifiers, wholesale distributors, manufacturers, electrical contractors and end-users.

Established in 2001, Encelium specializes in integrated lighting control systems for commercial buildings. The technology company’s hallmark Energy Control System™ (ECS), which is the most advanced lighting control solution on the market, has been proven to secure lighting energy savings of 50 to 75 percent in a wide range of commercial applications. Since its founding, Encelium has installed ECS in more than 35 million square feet of commercial space across North America and Europe.

“Dion’s depth of technical expertise and far-reaching industry relationships are a tremendous asset to Encelium and all of our clients,” said Tony Marano, president and CEO of Encelium. “Widely recognized as a knowledgeable industry leader, he will be instrumental to expanding and strengthening our outreach in the Western Region.”

Prior to joining Encelium, Hyland served as director of energy reduction solutions for Elite Power, Inc., a full-service electrical contracting firm based in Sacramento. In this role, he was responsible to all aspects of the company’s lighting and control business line, including retrofits. Previously, Hyland was a controls sales manager at Acuity Brands Controls and has held the position of outside sales with Associated Lighting Representatives, Graybar Electric, Pacific Electric Supply and City Electric Supply.

ECS uses the collaborative power of addressable networking technology, in conjunction with advanced control hardware and software, to significantly reduce lighting energy consumption and costs at a faster rate than other environmental measures. Encelium’s wide range of commercial projects throughout the United States includes office buildings, schools, healthcare and public facilities, parking garages and stadiums.
