Encelium Technologies, an innovative leader in energy management and lighting control systems, has introduced ECS Lite, a lighting energy management system designed with smaller facilities in mind. Offering most of the features and benefits of the company’s revolutionary Energy Control System™ (ECS), ECS Lite is ideal for smaller facilities or for applications where addressable dimming control may not be viable.
“ECS Lite was designed to give smaller buildings the opportunity to capitalize on the lighting energy savings that Encelium’s Energy Control System offers at a price point that is financially feasible.” said Tony Marano, president and CEO of Encelium. “In the past, there have been some customers that have not been able to take advantage of the power of Encelium’s ECS due to the size of the facility. Now, ECS Lite is the ideal lighting energy savings solution for the smaller facility.”
For applications requiring 300 nodes or less, ECS Lite is a lower cost bundled package of Encelium’s base hardware and software components that make up Encelium’s Energy Control System (ECS). ECS Lite is ideal for smaller projects with limited node counts or for applications that predominantly involve circuit level switching through Encelium’s relay panel or relay modules.
ECS is the most advanced lighting control solution for commercial buildings on the market. The intelligent lighting building system, which typically meets or exceeds today’s sustainable requirements for new or existing office buildings, is designed to reduce lighting-related energy costs by 50 to 75 percent. ECS also contributes between 12 to 18 points toward achieving the coveted U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED).
Using the collaborative power of addressable networking technology in conjunction with advanced control hardware and software, Encelium’s systems are designed to maximize energy savings and provide attractive returns on investment. ECS reduces lighting use and energy costs at a faster rate than other environmental measures and has an average payback on investment of two to five years. Since the company’s founding in 2001, ECS has been installed in more than 30 million square feet of commercial space across North America and Europe. The company has posted a 200% annual growth increase during the last two years. Encelium is headquartered in Teaneck, N.J., with operations in Canada and Europe.
